well that didn't go well

Today didn't go quite as planned.

I didn't make it it outdoors.  I barely made it it out of bed.

This is principally due to the sheer levels of pain I have experienced.  The painkillers I was reliant on in hospital do not appear to be anywhere near as effective at home.  My daughter has had to see her daddy in a state that no man would want their child to see them in, but her bravery has astounded me. My wife who is going to have to care for me is summoning strength from somewhere - who knows where.

I don't think the physio I received in hospital helped prepare me for the rigours of walking short distances and then having to twist my body on my walking frame to get through gaps in doorways or passed furniture.  All in all, a bad day then.  Here's hoping for a better one tomorrow.

I apologise for this rather depressing post but cancer is a depressing illness.

Sorry.

  1. You're allowed to feel depressed and ill sometimes, little brother. You'll feel brighter again soon. You always do xxxxx

  2. No apologies necessary! Cancer sucks, plain and simple, and if you can't vent on your own blog where can you? Hoping you have a better day tomorrow.
